HOW TO GET TO THE DOUGLAS-BRETT WEDDING:
WE'D RECOMMEND FLYING INTO:
Portland (PWM) — Then rent a car and drive from there to Boothbay Harbor (~75 miles). You can also pick up an Uber or Lyft from the airport. Alternative: hop over to the Concord Portland Bus Station and catch a bus to Wiscasset. From there, you can take an Uber or taxi 15 minutes to Boothbay.
Manchester (MHT) — Then rent a car and drive from there to Boothbay Harbor (~150 miles). The advantage: Manchester has one-way tickets on Southwest from Tampa International Airport.
Boston (BOS) — Then rent a car and drive from there to Boothbay Harbor (~170 miles). Alternative: get a ticket with Concord Bus and catch a bus from Logan Airport to Wiscasset, ME. From there, you can take an Uber or taxi 15 minutes to Boothbay.
Boston is a perfect place to fly into if you're looking to double up on the New England sightseeing (this goes for Manchester, NH too). Check JetBlue for great nonstop flights from Tampa.
Boothbay Harbor area is dotted with inns, hotels, resorts and B&Bs. If you're traveling with other friends, you may also want to look into renting a house. It's a great way to experience Maine.
P.S. If you're renting a car, you may want to check out the Turo app for the city you'll be flying in and out of. It's like Airbnb, but for cars.
